Freddie Fox, The New Voice Of Dennis The Menace
I'm seeing the Patrick Marber revival of Tom Stoppard's Travesties in the West End next month. A seventies play, it was one of the most Stoppardiest of plays going.
It's set in Zürich in 1917, at the time home to James Joyce when he was writing Ulysses, Tristan Tzara during the rise of Dada, and Lenin in the years leading up to the Russian Revolution.
And while the big star in Tom Holland, playing the individual who meets them all, it's Freddie Fox as Tzara who may be seeing his star about to rise further.
That's because he's been cast as the voice of Dennis The Menace in Dennis & Gnasher: Unleashed, the CBBC TV show based on the Beano comic strip that's been running since the fifties and is now most associated with the comic.
The highest honour can be bestowed on an actor! Have a peek…
