Fringe Comes To A Close And How I Met Your Mother Gets High – The Week In TV Ratings

2013 hit its first full busy cycle of the year as lots of shows premiered and others returned.
On Monday, CBS' How I Met Your Mother proved, at least financially, it was a good move to bring the comedy back for a ninth year scoring a season high 3.8.
FOX finally had a Monday without The Mob Doctor and aired double Bones instead, earning a 2.1. That's a better number than the show has hit in a long time.
Meanwhile, The CW premiered the well-received Sex And The City prequel The Carrie Diaries to a low 0.6.
That number isn't completely foreign to the net, with Hart Of Dixie doing the exact sam on Tuesday. Not a great night all round, either, with New Girl making just 1.9 on FOX.
On ABC, Happy Endings and Don't Trust The B—- did a 1.3 and 1.1.
Season 12 of American Idol premiered on Wednesday to a 6.0, a lower number than it's used too, but still strong enough to help FOX out a little, save them from looking completely ruined.
ABC's shows fared as expected, nothing grand. The Middle got a 2.3, The Neighbors 1.9, Modern Family 4.3 and 2.4. Nashville did an okay 2.2.
Arrow and Supernatural did swell together again on The CW, with the former hitting a 1.1 and the latter 0.9.
Thursday Nights (capital T, capital N) returned to NBC with 30 Rock rating a 1.3, Parks and Recreation a season high of 1.9, The Office a 2.1, and new political comedy 1600 Penn a 1.2.
Meanwhile, The Vampire Diaries took a strong bite, with a 1.4 demo.
Fringe's two-hour series finale spun up an alright 1.0 on FOX come Friday, while Nikita did a 0.4 on The CW.
With Animation Domination taking the night off, and it being football that was watched by most, Sunday night scripted shows all belonged to ABC.
Hitting a season low, Revenge scored only a 1.7 while Once Upon A Time wished it could have done better than 2.4.
