Hawaii Five-O Is Going To The Dogs With Season 8
There has been a lot of controversy around the CBS series Hawaii Five-O Season 8, after longtime cast members Grace Park and Daniel Dae Kim left due to not being paid the same as their co-stars. The series promoted recurring actor Ian Anthony Dale to a series regular and brought in Meaghan Rath and Beulah Koale to also be series regulars opposite of Alex O'Loughlin and Scott Caan.
Seems that there is one more being added to the team, according to executive producer Peter Lenkov. He told EW.com:
"There is a story that's coming up, it actually was Alex O'Loughlin's idea. I wanted to do a story where the victim left in the wake of a tragedy was a dog who lost its owner. It's a very emotional, really great story. It's a dog that's a drug sniffing service dog that McGarrett ends up adopting. It's a really emotional journey, but it was his idea to keep the dog, and I thought that was a great one."
So, two fan-favorite characters are gone…but McGarrett gets a new best friend. I'm sure that is going to create even more fun banter in the car with Dano.
