Legends Of Tomorrow Season Expanded
Legends of Tomorrow was a mid-season starter last year and was set to do 13 episodes again this season. That changed yesterday when the network ordered an additional 4 episodes, making 17 total. It was never conceived of as a 23 episode season like The Flash and Arrow are. But it's one of the networks stronger series, regularly pulling in over 2 million viewers.
The CW will need to make decisions on their two new series very soon. Neither Frequency nor No Tomorrow are doing great, but Frequency is showing more promise and is more likely to get the nod.
No word on if the writer of Legends will stretch the season's overall plot to accommodate the new episodes or if they will play out the season as it was and then do a four episode standalone arc. That would be a fun way to introduce a couple new characters for a month.
