Yesterday, THR.com reported that NBC has a reboot of Xena: Warrior Princess in the works 20 years after its original debut. The series was a spinoff of the popular Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and starred Lucy Lawless for its six season run. It's believed that the network is looking at the property for a miniseries return similar to what they are doing with Heroes Reborn. Original producers Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert are said to be attached.
There is no official word from NBC and Lawless took to twitter later in the day to deny the report as just a rumor.
Sorry, friends! news of a #Xena reboot is just a rumor. I'd love it to happen one day but it's still in the wishful thinking stage.
