Nerdvana – A Geek Film And Events Retreat In Glasgow In February
By Phil Harris

Ignoring the name and given that the nerds and geeks are in ascendancy as we all, obviously, know Nerdvana is offering a tasty selection of events throughout the festival, which have definitely excited this reviewer, and we recommend all those who might be in the area to browse both the main festival and Nerdvana links and consider making the trek to the West of Scotland.

We were also hoping to make the Dungeons & Dragons Live show but it has proved so popular that even members of the press, with contacts at the film festival press office can't blackmail their way in… sorry, get tickets – meanies – but given the popularity of the show we hope they'll already be booking it into a larger venue for next year.
Of course, events like this need the support of the public and the Glasgow Film Festival, much like its sister event in Edinburgh, give a great opportunity to see and hear films, talks and shows which cover new ideas and concepts to faithful classics you should have always seen in the cinema.
Tickets and more information can be found here.
