New Mortal Kombat Trailer Shows Off Dynamic Towers And Faction Wars
Mortal Kombat X is creeping ever forward as NetherRealm's gore-fest is only just over two months away. The advertising campaign has been huge with two or three new stories popping up on my RSS feeds daily about the title.
Today, the developer revealed a few new mechanics for the game that will act as the backbone of play. First off, there are new dynamic towers in the game that will be constantly changing. Anyone who played the early Mortal Kombats will recognize these as a series of a ladder of fighters you must pass to win. NetherRealms say these will be ever changing too, even up to "hourly".
The second thing here is the faction wars. The video don't really explain them entirely coherently here, but from what I gather, you join one of five factions and then partake in community events.
