New Pixels TV Spot Shows Off A Lot Of Action

Is Sony doing a bait and switch with their new movie Pixels? The concept of an alien race attacking the Earth with the video game characters from the 80s sounds more comedic than sci-fi. Add in that the cast consists of Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Josh Gad and Peter Dinklage and this is definitley leaning towards a comedy. But the latest TV spot features explosions and action and very little of Sandler and James. In fact, the two top names only have 5 lines in the entire trailer. So will this end up being a Ghostbusters type film with both action and comedy… or are we looking at some very clever editing.

PIxels opens July 24th.
