Nickelodeon Is Bringing Back Legends Of The Hidden Temple
The past is popping up everywhere in the entertainment industry as many shows are being revived, but how about a game show? Nickelodeon's Legends of the Hidden Temple premiered in the fall of 1993. The show consisted of six teams of two children (one boy and one girl) competing to retrieve one of the historical artifacts in the temple. They had to perform by physical stunts and answer questions based on history, mythology, and geography to move forward.
Now it's time for a TV movie entitled, Hidden Temple. The film will focus on three siblings who must conquer a series of obstacles to remain alive, mirroring the theme of the original game show. We've been promised a few nods to other elements from the original show, including Olmec, a talking head who knows the secrets behind the temple; the Steps of Knowledge, the entrance to the temple and launching pad for the mission; and cameos from a green monkey, red jaguar and silver snakes.
The movie is set to release towards the end of 2016.
