See First Look Photos From Not-A-Sequel Kingsman: The Golden Circle

Entertainment Weekly has a batch of photos offering us the first glimpse of Kingsman: The Golden Circle, the follow-up to 2014's Kingsman: The Secret Service, which was itself based on the comic book The Secret Service by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons, a big break for Millar who isn't normally known for having his comics made into movies.

In a brief interview with EW, director Matthew Vaughn reveals that he demanded the number "2" not be used in any marketing of the film due to suffering from an extreme case of germophobia. "Just doing a sequel, you're kind of violating that promise of originality. Sequelitis is a plague I have no interest in contracting."

In the interest of differentiating Kingsman: The Golden Circle from Kingsman: The Secret Service, but not from the Marvel Cinematic Universe that every other film franchise today tries to copy, star Taron Egerton said, "If the first Kingsman was Captain America, then this is very much The Avengers now," indicating the movie will focus more on an ensemble cast.

Check out the photos below which show new cast members Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges, and Halle Berry, along with Egerton. Kingsman: The Golden Circle hits theaters on September 29.

A prophecy once said that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero would come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events. Sadly, that prophecy was wrong. Oh, Jude Terror was right. For ten years. About everything. But nobody listened. And so, Jude Terror has moved on to a more important mission: turning Bleeding Cool into a pro wrestling dirt sheet!
