Report: Stephen Daldry To Direct Standalone Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi Movie

According to a report from THR, Lucasfilm is in early talks with Oscar-nominated director Stephen Daldry for a long-anticipated Obi-Wan Kenobi solo flick. The project is said to be in the very early stages, without even a script, but it's been long-rumored, and Ewan McGregor, who played the Jedi in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, has said he'd be happy to reprise the role.

Now that fans have finally won this battle and gotten Lucasfilm to work on an Obi-Wan flick, it's on to the next challenge: getting them to make it a buddy comedy with Jar Jar Binks. Meesa think we got a pretty good chance!
