Sylvester Stallone Says He's Done Playing Rocky Balboa [For Real This Time]

Iconic characters that truly pass the test of time are few and far between, and Sylvester Stallone is finally ready to say goodbye to one of them.

Sylvester Stallone Says He's Done Playing Rocky Balboa [For Real This Time]

The Rocky and Rambo actor has once again said he's ready to hang up his boxing gloves for good, following the opening of Creed II, sequel to the continuation of the ballad of Rocky Balboa.

In a post on the Oscar-nominated actor's Instagram account, Sly said:

I am reposting this because there was a technical difficulty. I just want to thank everyone around the whole wide World for taking the Rocky family into their hearts for over 40 years. It's been my Ultimate privilege to have been able to create and play this meaningful character. Though it breaks my heart, Sadly all things must pass… and end. I love you Kind and generous people , and The most wonderful thing of all , is that ROCKY will never die because he lives on in you ….

While we're sad to see the character go, Sylvester Stallone fans know he's already in process on Rambo v, so there's still plenty of action for Sly left.

Creed II is currently in theaters now, and Rambo V is looking at a release date sometime in 2019.
