The MST3K Reunion Announcement Wasn't An April Fools Joke
Any PR Person knows, the worst day to announce anything is April 1st. That's the day people just assume everything is fake until proven real. So I can see why a lot of Mystery Science Theater 3000 fans were skeptical when a big reunion of the show was announced yesterday. It would've been a somewhat cruel joke to play on them. But we're told that the announcement was 100% real.
For the 10th anniversary of RiffTrax, the group made up of Michael J. Nelson, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett that still do the voice over mocking of bad films, a special live MST3K Reunion is being put together. The reunion will include the entire principal cast of the beloved TV series:
Michael J. Nelson (Mike Nelson)
Kevin Murphy (Tom Servo),
Bill Corbett (Crow T. Robot),
Frank Conniff (TV's Frank),
Trace Beaulieu (Dr. Clayton Forrester, Crow T. Robot),
Mary Jo Pehl (Pearl Forrester)
Bridget Nelson (Nuveena, Mr. B Natural)
and just announced today, the creator and original MST3K host Joel Hodgson, plus the new host of the revived program Jonah Ray.
This was made possible by their Kickstarter http://RiffTrax.com/Kickstarter which you can still add to.
The RiffTrax LIVE: MST3K Reunion show will be broadcast live into movie theaters nationwide June 28th. Tickets available April 15th http://RiffTrax.com/MST3KReunion
