Turtles To Net $65 Million And Sequel Announced

TMNTThe reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle franchise is doing far better than expected at the box office this weekend, with estimates coming in between $65 million and $66 million. Paramount this morning has already announced a sequel is in the works with screenwriters Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec (Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocal) on board to write the sequel and Michael Bay returning to produce.

Last weeks #1 movie, Guardians of the Galaxy, is still pulling respectable numbers taking in an estimated $41 million to $43 million taking it's two week total up near $177 million.
