Vartox Speaks In Latest Supergirl TV Spot

VartoxA new TV spot for the upcoming series Supergirl has been released and we get a better look at Vartox, the ax-wielding villain Kara Zor-El first goes up against.

Vartox is being played by Owain Yeoman formerly of The Mentalist. The character of Vartox was obviously inspired by Sean Connery's turn as Zardoz… and had a bit of a revival in the Jimmy Palmiotti / Amanda Conner run on Power Girl. Luckily the series producers decided not to try and match the characters "classic" outfit.

The series stars Melissa Benoist, Mechad Brooks and Melissa Flockhart.

Supergirl premieres on CBS October 26th.
