We guessed last month that the Covert issue of March 2015's Loot Crate would have an Orphan Black #1 comic exclusive variant from IDW – a variant cover that is probably ten to twenty times more common now than the regular cover of the comic…
But it also contains a digital code for Ninjak #1 from Valiant[...]

If you recall, we ran a piece on Loot Crate's March offerings, speculating that there may be an exclusive copy of the IDW comic book Orphan Black #1 in there, and wondering what the effect on the market might be as a result.
Well, I think we can take this as evidence that there is one.
We[...]

Amazing Spider-Man #1 was only given away in Nerd Block (40-50,000 subscribers) while Rocket Raccoon and Walking Dead were in Loot Crate (250-300,000 subscribers) but it managed to get more elsewhere to pip them both to the top of Best Selling Comic Book of 2014 – in the comic book direct market via Diamond Comic[...]

It will probably be at a similar level.
But CBR has revealed that December's Loot Crate will ship with an exclusive cover variant of Batman #36 Since DC Comics are obliged to sell such items though Diamond, it should appear in its numbers for December And with an estimated quarter of a million subscribers, it is[...]
Okay, so December has an exclusive Funko Pop vinyl figure in Loot Crate's biggest crate to date.
The subscription box of stuff for geeks has something Avengers-related for Marvel and Batman-related for DC Comics. If one of them is a comic book, expect that to distort the comic book charts for the month, as it did for Rocket Raccoon[...]
But let's say if, just if, Saga #24 sold around the same as Saga #23 and using the estimated figures of ICV2 (which do not include non-North American stats) then a single percentage point is worth around 1200 sales.
And Batman #35, buoyed by the Endgame promotion, sold 120,000.
It's a guess, but on that basis, Walking Dead[...]
So where did the rest of the marketshare go?
Well, as we previously pointed out, Image Comics took 12.28% of comics sold and 9.77% of dollars spent, a significant 2-4 point jump, and both Dark Horse and IDW both put on a point or to each as week.
The top selling book however, as we predicted, was[...]
The new Loot Crate subscription box for October includes a variant edition of this month's issue of The Walking Dead #132 Given that around 150,000 of these boxes go out and that these orders for Diamond exclusive publishers such as Image go through Diamond, they should be adding these numbers on top of the comic's[...]
We've been noting how the inclusion of a comic book in a subscription box, such as Loot Crate or Nerd Block, can significantly affect the recorded dales of a comic, with both Amazing Spider-Man #1 and Rocket Raccoon #1 seeing significant bumps Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor and The Eleventh Doctor #1 also did rather[...]

Including a Nerd Block exclusive cover for The Tenth Doctor #1 and The Eleventh Doctor #1.
And, unlike Marvel with Rocket Raccoon #1 and Amazing Spider-Man #1, because Titan Comics are not Diamond exclusive, Titan[...]
But it seems to have set a precedent.
Today, the online subscription store Loot Crate have been telling comic publishers that they have ordered a significant amount of the previously reported 300,000 orders for Rocket Raccoon #1.
CBR reported roughly 100,000 copies but I have direct sources that tell me that Loot Crate are claiming 150,000 orders[...]
