Michael Che and Colin Jost Promoted to Co-Head Writers of Saturday Night Live

Weekend Update hosts Colin Jost and Michael Che have earned a big promotion at Saturday Night Live. The team have been named co-head writers of the show, according to a report from Variety. Che and Jost join current head writers Kent Sublette and Bryan Tucker, meaning there are now four head writers of SNL, so can we really call any of them "head" writer?

Saturday Night Live has experienced a creative and popular resurgence of late, fueled largely by the Donald Trump campaign and presidency, a seemingly limitless supply of gallows humor. The show has been experiencing some of its highest ratings in years, even spawning a Weekend Update spinoff in August during SNL's off season, since people couldn't live without the show's Trump jokes.

Kevin Hart is set to host the next episode of SNL on December 16, with musical guest Foo Fighters. After that, the show will likely take a break for a month or so for the holidays. Working hard, guys!

About Jude Terror

A prophecy says that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero will come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events.

Scourge of Rich Johnston, maker of puns, and seeker of the Snyder Cut, Jude Terror, sadly, is not the hero comics needs right now... but he's the one the industry deserves.
