Sideshow's Court Of The Dead Coming To Comics?
Sideshow Collectibles have a line, Court Of The Dead, that includes statues of original creations Queen of the Dead, The Red Death, The Reaper: Death's General and more.
Over millennia, Death has harvested countless souls on behalf of the warring powers of the Heavens and the Hells. Seeking to redefine the laws of the afterlife, he orchestrates a Court of the Dead, filling the Underworld with souls he's taken as his own.
Positioned as servitor, general, and lord, from the indentured to the ambitious, the members of this Court are helmed by an enigmatic and beautiful regent, the Queen of the Dead.
Assembled from the disciplines of Spirit, Bone, and Flesh, together in the service of Death, they shall rise, conquer, rule.
They've also put a small comic book story on their website to accompany the line. And now it seems, as well as trademarking the name of the statues, they have also trademarked the name for comic books, which indicates an intention, if nothing else, to commercially publish Court Of The Dead comic books.
Look for more of this to come. San Diego Comic Con would be a useful showcase to launch such a line, would it not?
