There Are Original Art Pieces Hiding In Those Harley Quinn Black Bags
DC Comics launched Harley Quinn's Little Black Book today. That comic, and others from DC this month, shipped with Harley Quinn black bag variant versions. Opening each bag reveals whether you got a colour, ink or pencilled version of that cover. It's quite fun, most people like it.
But someone who really likes it is a customer at Collected Comics of Hirst, Texas. They pulled out, not a printed variant cover, but an original piece of artwork drawn onto a blank sketch cover.
This is the only report I've heard of this. There was no surrounding publicity from DC Comics. It is possibly that, because of lottery laws they may not be allowed to. There are likely not to be that many of these. But it means that inside some of those black bag variants, which will be shipping across the month, will be other works of original art in this format.
It's the Golden Ticket of comic books. Especially since there are large damage reports on some variants, possibly due to the bagging process.
Good luck out there…. or just hang out on eBay.
