Final Fantasy XIV Stormblood's Launch Trailer Hit A Week Early
We're just under a week away from the early access period for Final Fantasy XIV's Stormblood expansion, which officially releases on June 20th. And Square Enix has decided to start the action early by releasing the launch trailer far in advance.
The new expansion increases the game's level cap to 70, adds two new jobs, allows players to swim for the first time, has totally revamped the game's battle system, and includes two new areas for players to explore. It's one hell of a facelift for the game, and one I haven't really been able to shut myself up about. While the expansion only adds two more DPS jobs bring the game's total number of playable jobs to 15, game director Naoki Yoshida has admitted that he plans to keep adding jobs to Final Fantasy XIV until Square stops supporting the game. So this is definitely not the last update for playable classes that we'll see. And with the updated battle system, it's sure to be a fun time.
So, get ready to join the resistance and, yet again take on the Garlean Empire, because it's time to head out into gorgeous Gyr Abania and liberate the people of Ala Mhigo.
