Mr. Robot Season 3: First Look At Bobby Cannavale's Used Car Salesman Character
The good news? USA Network just released our first look at Bobby Cannavale's new character in Season 3 of their hit thriller-drama series Mr. Robot. Bad news? Much like how things ran prior to the first two seasons, USA Network and the creators of Mr. Robot are only going to give you enough to bait your interest without actually telling you anything.
Don't believe me? Let me introduce you to Irving: "a laconic, no-nonsense used car salesman." Doesn't tell you too much…yet you know there's more to him than meets the eye. It's what fans of Mr. Robot have come to expect.
Although known for his work in films such as Ant-Man and The Station Agent and television series such as Will & Grace and Boardwalk Empire, Cannavale has been enjoying success in live theater (both on and off-Broadway) for nearly two decades.
Mr. Robot Season 3 is scheduled to premiere sometime in October 2017 and will immediately address the second season cliffhanger that left Elliot (Rami Malek) in a (spoiler-free) "dire situation." USA Network is on record saying that the third season will delve deeper into the personal motivations of each character and and roadmap the steadily disintegrating trust between Elliot and Mr. Robot.
The series also stars Christian Slater, Portia Doubleday (Angela Moss), Carly Chaikin (Darlene Alderson), Martin Wallström (Tyrell Wellick), Grace Gummer (Dominique "Dom" DiPierro), Michael Cristofer (Phillip Price), Stephanie Corneliussen (Joanna Wellick) and BD Wong (Whiterose/Zhang). Sam Esmail is the writer and exec producer, along with Anonymous Content executive producers Steve Golin and Chad Hamilton.
From USA Network:
"Golden Globe® award-winning series Mr. Robot, will return to USA Network for a third season in 2017. The series follows Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek), a cyber-security engineer who became involved in the underground hacker group fsociety after being recruited by their mysterious leader (Christian Slater), who he later discovered to be the projection of his dead father. Following the events of fsociety's five/nine hack on the multi-national company Evil Corp, Season 2 explored the consequences of the attack as well as the illusion of control."
