'GWAR' Writer Matt Miner To Sell "Punch Every Nazi" And "SJW" Pins At New York Comic Con
Matt Miner is the writer of the comic Toe Tag Riot and the new GWAR comic book, which has entertained us highly at Bleeding Cool towers. He is attending New York Comic Con this week and has set up at table M-23 in Artist's Alley, as well as planning a few signings at the Dynamite booth on the show floor later in the show. And he'll have plenty of comics on hand to sell — and other things, too.
The big one will naturally be all the GWAR comics he's written, including all the variants. And a bunch of GWAR prints, including limited editions.
Collections and single issues of his Black Mask comics will also be available, including Liberator, Critical Hit, Occupy Comics, and Toe Tag Riot, and a few other bits and pieces, including NIX Comics Quarterly and Vertigo's CYMK that he worked on.
And he'll be happy to sell any and all of them.
But what also might draw attention is that he has also nailed his colors to the mast by planning on selling a number of multicoloured 'SJW' pins, anti-Trump 'NO 45' pins and 'Punch Every Nazi' pins. The proceeds from the SJW pins will be split between GLAAD, which promotes positive portrayals of LGBTQ+ issues in mass media, and CBLDF, the comic book charity that promotes the defence of free speech of all kinds. These may inspire all sorts of conversations — and will probably sell out on day one.
