Attack On Titan Season 3: Premiere Month Set, New Image Released

Even though there's still two months left in this year, Wit Studios wants Attack on Titan fans to start thinking about 2018 now. Though it's only been a few months since second season finale, the production house dropped a number of announcements expected to get Attack on Titan fans clamoring for Season 3 even more:

●  Season 3 Release Date: While an exact date hasn't been announced yet, the Attack on Titan website did post a new visual for Season 3 that lists July 2018 as the premiere month for the season:

Wit Studios has a reputation for making AoT fans wait for the anime, so there's some cautious optimism surrounding the announcement. Some fans are concerned that July 2018 isn't a realistic launch date and that this is just the beginning of a series of delays that could push the series' Season 3 premiere date to late 2018/early 2019. Other fans see the announcement as a sign that Wit Studios might be committing to longer episode and a longer season; since early word had the series returning April 2018.

●  To coincide with the Season 3 announcement, Wit Studios also released an amazing image that highlights Eren Jaeger and gives fans a tease of what's to come:

●  Attack on Titan will also be getting a new compilation movie titled Kakusei no Hoko (The Roar of Awakening), that will get viewers up to speed on the show's second season. Attack on Titan manga creator Haime Isayama will be drawing an original illustration for the film as a bonus for attendees.

From the director of Death Note and Highschool of the Dead, comes the bone-crunching Attack on Titan.

Many years ago, the last remnants of humanity were forced to retreat behind the towering walls of a fortified city to escape the massive, man-eating Titans that roamed the land outside their fortress. Only the heroic members of the Scouting Legion dared to stray beyond the safety of the walls – but even those brave warriors seldom returned alive. Those within the city clung to the illusion of a peaceful existence until the day that dream was shattered, and their slim chance at survival was reduced to one horrifying choice: kill – or be devoured!
