Brace Yourself – Your First Look At The Thirteenth Doctor Who

Courtesy of the BBC, your first look at the new look for The Doctor, the Thirteenth Doctor, as portrayed by Jofie Whitaker in the next series of long-running BBC science fiction show Doctor Who.

Trousers, braces, a long coat, striped shirt, walking boots and showing a little ankle – but not a question mark in sight.

Jodie Whittaker is the first woman to play The Doctor, officially, in the TV show, though previous versions by Arabella Weir in the audio dramas and Joanna Lumley in Steven Moffat's Comic Relief skit Curse Of The Fatal Death provided some precedent, as did other Gallifreyans, The Corsair, The General and The Master/Missy in the TV series proper. Whittaker had previously starred in Broadchurch, from the new Doctor Who showrunner Chris Chibnall, alongside other Doctor Who alumni such as David Tennant.
