CBS Sets Three Female-Written Pilots: History, Mom So Hard and Murder

Coming off of a pilot season that saw all of their series pickups fronted by men and caused many to call out the network over its lack of inclusion and female-fronted shows, CBS has ordered three female-written pilots: two comedies (History of Them, I Mom So Hard) and a drama (Murder). This marks the first pilot season order under the lead of new CBS President Kelly Kahl, who replaced Glenn Geller as network head in May 2017.

Here's a rundown of CBS' three pilot orders:

CBS Sets Three Female-Written Pilots: History, Mom So Hard and Murder

Murder

Writer: Amanda Green (Lethal Weapon)

Executive Producers: Green, Lindsey Liberatore and Dan Lin (Stephen King's It)

Production Company: Warner Bros. Television, CBS Television Studios

Overview: "Murder is a fresh take on the investigative drama that explores crime through the unique and often conflicting perspectives of cops and killers, witnesses and victims, friends and family. Shot like a true crime documentary, the drama invites the audience inside the emotional journey of an investigation, allowing them to discern the truth and judge the suspects' guilt or innocence for themselves."
