Mark Hamill Reveals That [SPOILER] Is in Solo: A Star Wars Story
Solo: A Star Wars Story is a little over a week away from premiering at the Cannes Film Festival, and a spoiler is already floating around. It's not too much of one, but this time we don't have leaks to thank but a cast member from another movie. Mark Hamill was on Washington Post's Cape Up with Jonathan Capehart and dropped a spoiler for Solo. It's not a huge one, but it's one we didn't know about — so if you're trying to stay spoiler free for this one, we'll see you another time.

C-3PO and R2-D2 have become staples of Star Wars films whether it makes sense for them to be there or not. It sounds like Solo is going to keep that tradition alive by shoehorning the two droids into this movie as well.
"[Anthony] Daniels was so happy," Hamill said, "'cause he's in every single Star Wars movie. Every single one. All the Prequels, he's in Rogue One, he's in Solo… Whoops! I hope that's not, erm… But anyway, he's in Every. Single. Star Wars movie. That's not such a reveal – all Star Wars fans expect him to be in every movie."
This doesn't mean that the droids will absolutely be making an appearance — Anthony Daniels could be playing a different character or a different droid, but that seems very unlikely. This is one of those things Star Wars fans expect despite the fact that, like in Rogue One, it can feel tacked on and even take you out of the movie. Maybe this is a tradition we don't need to continue.
Summary: During an adventure into a dark criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his future copilot Chewbacca and encounters Lando Calrissian years before joining the Rebellion.
Solo: A Star Wars Story, directed by Ron Howard, stars Alden Ehrenreich, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Woody Harrelson, and Thandie Newton. It will be released May 25th.
