Netflix Debuts a New Trailer for Castlevania's Second Season
As we wind our way to late October, Netflix has decided to treat fans to a little bloodshed in July with a new trailer for Castlevania. The animated show has been getting a bit of buzz about the second season lately, especially after word got out that it would be expanded to eight episodes, and that VIZ Media scored the distribution rights to the show. Now with us being just three months away from the season premiere, the company has decided to wet your appetite a bit and revealed this latest trailer.
There's a lot to unpack in just 90-seconds worth of footage. Some of it is from the first season, which we assumed would happen, but a good chunk of this is from season two. We get to see Trevor Belmont, Sypha Belnades, and Alucard being absolute badasses as they take out demons, but we finally get a good look at Dracula preaching to wipe humans off the face of the earth and plunge it into eternal darkness. He addresses his generals, and we see what could be Isaac and Hector from Castlevania III in the mix, and what could possibly be an appearance of Carmilla, but there are a few new faces that don't immediately match up with people we know in the game. So we may be due for some surprises and a reimagining or two of classic foes.
