Jamie Lee Curtis Takes the Lead in New 'Halloween' Poster

Jamie Lee Curtis is a goshdarn gift to strong actresses. She always has been really, and it's nice to see the genre she's [arguably] most known for giving her the recognition she deserves.

Curtis comes from Hollywood royalty, her parents Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis were giants of their silver screen days. She set the tone for years in the horror genre, Halloween's Laurie Strode still being a touchstone of female character within that dark and violent realm.

We know she's taking the lead in the upcoming Halloween, which is being billed as a true sequel to the original. One where the familial ties between Michael Myers and Laurie don't exist, and the first trailer addressed that.

Just today, Jamie Lee Curtis shared a new poster for the film, along with the reveal that we're getting a new trailer TOMORROW. We love seeing her name so prominently displayed, and what a gorgeous image:

Jamie Lee isn't just an actress either, she's also an author. Her newest tome "Me, Myselfie and I" just published today.

Halloween is set to hit theaters on October 19th, 2018.
