Donny Cates Takes Over Thor in 2020 with Nic Klein and Matt Wilson

As all of New York Comic Con collectively gasped with pleasure, Marvel Comics announced that global entertainment superstar and fashion icon Donny Cates will take over as the new writer of Thor at the Next Big Thing panel. Cates' dream has always been to write Venom and Thor, just as its been all of our dream, collectively, as the comics readership to read him writing those characters. We've gotten one, Now we get the other.

Gosh, he's so dreamy! Also, Pip Pip, as we told you this would happen.

Cates will be joined by artist Nic Klein and colorist Matthew Wilson for the new title, launching in January. The Marvel Universe will surely never be the same.

Thanks to suckling at the teat of corporate masters for over a decade, compliant Marvel media partner Newsarama was slipped the solicit early, so we've copied and pasted it below.

A prophecy once said that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero would come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events. Sadly, that prophecy was wrong. Oh, Jude Terror was right. For ten years. About everything. But nobody listened.
