Directed by John Carpenter in 1982, The Thing brings horror to the Arctic with the encounter of a deadly extraterrestrial. The helicopter pilot for the research station is MacReady (Kurt Russel), who is struggling to stay alive from the shape-shifting alien. Mondo has announced that the arctic horror of The Thing is now coming to life in 1/6 scale format with their latest release. MacReady is back with a special Timed Edition figure that will only be offered for a total of 10 days. It is going to one one long and cold night with this bad both that features an impressive likeness to Kurt Russel and is packed with accessories. MacReady will come with swappable hands, a pistol, a shotgun, two heads, and a flamethrower. The Thing Timed Edition will also come with two of the aliens' terrifying forms to increase the stakes for survival. It took quite a crew to realize Joe Allard's design, including incredibly detailed sculpts by Pichet Pitsuwan and Matt Black, spot-on paints by Viola Wittrocka, Hector Arce and Ed Bradley, and cut and sew wizardry from Tim Hanson.
