I Told My Wife I Want To Leave My Job And Draw Sexy Ladies
Adam Street writes for Bleeding Cool:
After working another crappy day for an insurance company, I came home and asked my wife what she needed to feel comfortable so I could leave my day job and pursue my comic career full-time. I soon quit my day job and started coloring full-time for Marvel Comics. Now imagine her face 7 years later when I wanted to talk about leaving coloring comics to draw sexy cartoons.
I've had a hobby seemingly all of my life, an obsession really. I love to draw women sexy! From MILFs, to school teachers , to heroines to politicians, capturing the female form in cartoon is my passion. In 2011 I started a caricature company called Draw Me Sexy and I recently launched an Indiegogo campaign for my third art book, Adam Street's Big Important Sexy Lady Book. I'm excited about this book because this is my boldest book to date in regards to sex appeal and humor. So bold, it needs to be shared.
Have you heard this before? No one reads comics anymore. Newspaper cartoons are dying. No one takes web comics seriously. Insert your excuse here… I've heard it all as to why people don't read comics or cartoons anymore, but what happened is, I stopped listening to the naysayers and started talking directly with people. After talking to over 2,000 people at events I learned people do like and enjoy comics and cartoons, they're just not consuming them.
The purpose of my Big Important Sexy Lady Book is to make a 60+ page e-book available that is free to download. However if you donate to the fundraising campaign, you have the opportunity to have a exclusive 90+ page Indiegogo paperback edition of the book. Donating to the campaign is the only way to get a physical copy of the book.
Anyone who donates to the campaign from Bleeding Cool, and we reach our weekend goal of $500 before Tuesday 12/24, I will take requests for sketching. It may even be in the book, so have fun with your requests!
