Collector's Paradise In Pasadena Opens Today
At San Diego Comic Con I learned that, bucking market trends, the amount of comic stores in North America rose by 0.5%. And both Marvel and Diamond are instigating programs to encourage new stores and existing stores to open new branches.
Well, here's just one of those. Collector's Paradise of Canoga Park, California is opening a new comic store in nearby Pasadena today, taking over the closing Comic Odyssey.
Tonight from 5pm to 8pm, they launch Aspen Comics' Hit List Crossover Event, with the second Executive Assistant Iris series with David Wohl, Scott Lobdell, Vince Hernandez, Marc Andreyko, Joe Benitez and Oliver Nome signing,
Then on Friday evening they'll run an adult-only event with music and an open bar with Joshua Hale Fialkov and Rahsan Ekedal of Echoes (and their industry friends), with copies of the San Diego Comic Con version of their Echoes hardcover from Top Cow.
And on Saturday, Richard Starkings and Boo Cook of Elephantmen will be signing, giving away a free J Scott Campbell Elephantmen poster with each book bought.
So if you're around, why not pop by and tell Bleeding Cool how it goes?
