Horror, Comedy And Noir Heroes In New Dynamite Previews
This week we have quite the variety in our exclusive extended previews from Dynamite. We've got horror / sci-fi covers with the debut of Aliens / Vampirella #1, comedy with Bob's Burgers #3 and action, adventure and pulpy goodness with Masks 2 #6.
Aliens / Vampirella #1
writer: Corinna Bechko artist: Javier García-Miranda cover: Gabriel Hardman
Humans have begun to colonize Mars, but something ancient and sinister got there first. Now Vampirella is faced with a mystery only she can solve, and the bloody realization that some monsters should never be awakened. Writer Corinna Bechko says, "I've loved Alien since I first saw it as a kid on a crummy old TV in a well-lit room and got scared half to death anyway. Now that I have the chance to add a little corner to that universe I couldn't be happier. And pitting such an implacable horror against Vampirella? That's a meeting that definitely produces very fertile story-telling ground. The Alien franchise has always thrived with strong women in the lead. Smart, self-assured Vampirella is a joy to write for, even when she may have met her match."
Bob's Burgers #3
writers: Loren Bouchard, Rachel Hastings, Anneliese Waddington, Brian Hall artist: Anthony Aguinaldo, Hector Reynoso, Mike Guerena covers: Anthony Aguinaldo (a), Paul Claerhout (b)sub
In the third issue of the Bob's Burgers Comic Book, we bring you more titillating tales from the Belchers! Louise discovers the wondrous wonders of the ride that stops time; Genederella is given a chance to attend a Joyous Jam Jamboree with the help of a special fairy; Tina brings us on a super-spy adventure to sabotage an evil villain; Bob's imagination drives his latest Fantasy Food Truck; and Linda tries again to take a nice family photo in front of the restaurant.
Masks 2 #6
writer: Cullen Bunn artist: Eman Casallos covers: Butch Guice (a), Jae Lee (b) subscription cover: Gabriel Hardman
incentive covers: Colton Worley (Black Bat), Butch Guice (B/W art), Jae Lee (B/W art), Gabriel Hardman (B/W art)
Cast through the time stream, the masked heroes of three different eras find themselves face to face with the sinister forces that spawned the Red Death… the menace who has laid waste to the world! But wild adventures through time have brought about amazing… and sometimes horrific… changes in the Shadow, Green Hornet, Black Sparrow, and the others. In order to set things right, the league of heroes–like you've NEVER seen them before–must band together in hopes of saving all of reality.
