John Carter, Warlord Of Mars Gets New Digital Comics – Not From Dynamite
Dynamite Entertainment, publisher of the trademark-skirting Warlord Of Mars, recently came to an agreement with Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc, who previously sued them for damages, to publish the comic as John Carter, Warlord Of Mars.
But part of that deal it seems, was that Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc. would publish its own line of digital comic books with the same title, by Roy Thomas and Rodolfo Pérez Garcia (Pegaso).
The first four episodes are free and available to download now, alongside digital versions of Tarzan, Korak the Killer, Carson of Venus and Pellucidar as part of the Edgar Rice Burroughs Digital Comic Strip Service, it comes after Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc. had rights returned that were previously rights by Disney and Marvel.
Subsequent issues will be $1.99 each, online.
