Marvel Confirms Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur By Reeder, Montclare And Bustos – And She's Inhuman (UPDATE)

It was teased at San Diego Comic Con, and the name predicted by Bleeding Cool. But now it is all official. Marvel have given the PR to Entertainment Weekly for Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur by Amy Reeder, Brandon Montclare and Natacha Bustos.

This is nt the Jack Kirby Moon-Boy  and Devil Dinosaur, set on some impossible prehistoric past. This is a modern day comic, starring "pre-teen super genius named Lunella Lafayette…otherwise known as Moon Girl."

And it's an attempt to create another title within the Marvel Universe aimed at young kids.  But it's not entirely divorced from its past. Montclare says "There won't be a hidden easter egg, but Moon-Boy is going to be in it at least for a little bit. And one of the things that comes back in time along with Devil Dinosaur will be these bad boys, these killer folk, these Kirby-created cavemen. We keep the kind of cartoonish-ness of it, but it should be very cool because they're going to be a legitimate menace living up to their name, but they're going to have an experience in modern times that changes them."

The character is also Inhuman. Which makes it the… sixth Inhumans book? Uncanny Inhumans, Uncanny Avengers, All-New Inhumans, Karnak, Ms Marvel and now Moon Girl? You will buy them…
