Jetpack Comics Makes Its FCBD Pitch To Mark Millar

Mark Millar is hosting a contest for comic stores to get him to come to their store for a signing. To win, the staff have to dress up as Millarworld characters for FCBD.

So, yes, it's a thinly disguised way for comic stores to promote Mark Millar's comic books, fighting amongst themselves for the trophy.

Well, Jetpack Comics of Rochester, North Hampshire taking the initial lead it seems…

In addition to costumed staffers, they will be hosting Nemesis For Nepal where they collect and match donations for the relief effort, a Superior Toy Drive, and a Kick-Ass for Cans Food Drive and more.

And they will be giving away additional MillarWorld titles on Free Comic Book Day, for adults who ask, and trade paperbacks to those who can identify the Millarworld cosplayer in question.

They are expecting around 7,500 people to attend their FCBD event and have stocked twenty local businesses with comics for the town-wide scavenger hunt. Their  guest of honor is David Petersen of Mouse Guard.

But maybe next year… it could be Mark Millar?
