Monday Runaround: Trollface Hulk… Problem?

Monday Runaround: Trollface Hulk… Problem?Rich is on his long flight home, as are a large percentage of the world's comics journalists. Even so, C2E2 keeps generating news stories, and probably will all week. Let's get a jump on it:

Deadpool #38 With Trollface Hulk

This has been tweeted approximately 5000 times in the past hour, so may as well get it on the record. If you don't know what this is about, google trollface. Know Your Meme says this:

Trollface, a.k.a. "Coolface" first originated as a MSPaint comic about the essentially pointless nature of trolling on 4Chan's /v/ made by a DeviantArt user named Whynne on September 19th 2008.

C2E2: The Iron Age

"The initial thought on The Iron Age was one of those 'eureka' moments," reports Williams. "I'm a huge NFL fan and was reading a magazine article on the success of the Throwbacks weekends, where teams wear their old uniforms. And then I figured, why don't we do that with a one-off super team? Put some of our favorite heroes from today together in their old outfits.

C2E2: Supreme Power

"They're not black and white cutouts like we see in a lot of 'revisionist super hero' stories," insists Higgins of the cast and situation presented. "The whole approach to the book [from the start] was to explore what this type of power would do to people. That included everyone from government figures and reporters to the super powers themselves. So out of that, we got these really interesting people. They became much more human, flaws, contradictions and all."

C2E2: Meet the Mystery Men

Writer David Liss and artist Patrick Zircher travel back to the Marvel Universe of the 1930's and introduce a host of new heroes in the MYSTERY MEN limited series this summer.

Luke Cage Tidbit

I wrote that thing over six years ago.  It heated up for a minute.  John Singleton was always attached to it.  I came in and did a draft.  Everybody liked it.  Marvel liked it.  Columbia pictures liked it.  John liked it.  So me and John worked on it for a while and got another draft going.  Then all of a sudden it just went into development hell.  So where it stands now I have no idea.

C2E2 2011: Nick Spencer – Comic Vine

Nick talks about Secret Avengers, Iron Man 2.0 & Morning Glories.

C2E2: Marvel Animation

Frustrated with trying to verbally explain Marvel's animation process, Loeb asked for the lights to dim and presented us with something no one had ever seen — a clip from "Ultimate Spider-Man." Set to air in 2012, the youthful Spider-Man clip was an animation test. Loeb told the crowd, it's a start and something they're all proud of, but he wouldn't comment on any of the voice talent involved since the show won't be breaking until 2012.

Writer Phil Hester Teases Lasting Changes For Wonder Woman From Flashpoint

"Wonder Woman is on a bubble right now. We know things are off with her timeline and existence, which is great for a writer, because you can do anything you want with those characters."
