Tokyo Ghoul: Re Trailer Reveals a New Protagonist in Sequel Series

By Adi Tantimedh

Following the announcement that Viz Media would be publishing the English translation of the Tokyo Ghoul manga series in response to fan demand after the popularity of the anime series this summer, the series' Japanese publisher Weekly Young Jump released a promo trailer today for its sequel manga Tokyo Ghoul: Re.

According to people who could read Japanese and the artwork in the trailer, the sequel series will feature a different main character from the original series' earnest pacifist and angst-ridden protagonist Ken Kaneki.

Tokyo Ghoul: Re will debut in Weekly Young Jump on October 17th in Japan.

There is no news yet on whether it will be published in the US.
