Batman And Robin #5 out next week, sees Damian Wayne still going to Gotham High School as part of Bruce Wayne's attempts to give him a normal high school upbringing. American high schools have kids from ages 14 to 18 if you needed some context. But this is a school in Gotham, so things are never going to be exactly normal, are they? When I was growing up, it was expected that most kids would go into the local mining industry, even as it was being closed down. But in Gotham? There's the local henchman industry.

DC Comics

Of course, Catwoman has been trying to turn people away from that by making the kids… high class catburglars instead. To keep them out of trouble, whereas Batman just wants to keep beating them up. At Gotham High, however, they have a solution that's not being a henchman, a burglar or a jailbird statistic.

DC Comics

They are playing football. Well, it is a growth sport in the USA. I guess they don't want to play baseball, as they are probably triggered by all the batmen. Sorry, sorry. But I wouldn't say no to a Bend It Like Batman spin-off at some point. DC Comics only owns Batman for another eleven years remember, in 2035, you will be able to do anything you like with him, Gotham and the like. Welcome To Gotham about Bruce Wayne buying a struggling soccer team sounds like it could be a hit!
