MAUS IN THE HOUSE
Art Spiegelman gets New Republicked…
In the end it all amounts to the dumbing down of culture, the authority of the dizzying high points turned into souvenirs of "personal self-awareness." The Spiegelman show, which includes lots of scratchy sketches and dime-store souvenirs, is a gathering of scraps from an autobiography, which will do just fine for a museum-going public that has been encouraged to mistake autobiography for art. Real art, whether one of Winsor McCay's Little Nemo comic strips or one of Braque's Cubist collages, has a freestanding value, and is by definition not warm and fuzzy. Spiegelman is all warm and fuzzy, and never more so than in Maus
WAX ON, WAX OFF
The Marvel 4D Madame Tussauds show is moving from London… to Las Vegas. And STen Lee will be there.
On Wednesday, November 20, at 11:am Marvel Comics legend and creator Stan Lee will officially cut the rope to unveil Madame Tussauds Las Vegas' multi-million-dollar renovation. Madame Tussauds will also debut its first fully immersive Marvel 4D theater, featuring the largest line-up of Marvel figures such as Iron Man, Nick Fury, Thor and Captain America to be seen in one room.
REPEAT WARNING
Laura Hudson talks about sexual harassment in comics, and her own experiences at the San Diego Comic Con
And worse, I remember the feeling that crept up inside me: that this was inescapable. That it would never matter who I was or what I accomplished. That within my community, someone still could do something like this to me at any time, expect to get away with it, and be right. Over and over, this is the message the industry sends women when they allow this behavior to persist, when they do not actively and relentlessly work to acknowledge it and tear it down: You are on on your own.
JUGHEAD UNDEAD
In a scene from the second issue of "Afterlife with Archie," due out Wednesday, an undead Jughead (more on that in a bit) chomps into the neck of Big Ethel, the awkward teen who has long nursed a crush on him. Blood flows. Flesh is eaten. Given these new circumstances, Ethel probably wishes the two had never met.

ZIMMERMANIA
The comics industry reacts to the latest George Zimmerman controversy:
Free idea: Every time George Zimmerman is arrested, the jurors that let him off are also taken to jail.

I'm no advocate of bullying but, at this point, shouldn't we be picking on George Zimmerman supporters a bit more? — Joe Harris (@joeharris) November 19, 2013
Hey, maybe George Zimmerman's pregnant girlfriend was carrying dangerous Skittles and Snapple, did anyone think of that? — Gail Simone (@GailSimone) November 18, 2013
What? George Zimmerman is a vile, dangerous, hot-heated creep? I am shocked, so very shocked!
— Gail Simone (@GailSimone) November 18, 2013
So George Zimmerman is an irresponsible, violent douchebag? Who knew?
— Heidi MacDonald (@Comixace) November 18, 2013
Guess George Zimmerman is destined for an OJ-like fate. Embarrassment and loathing capped off with ultimate incarceration for another crime. — Andy Khouri (@andykhouri) November 18, 2013
So apparently there's a person who said, "Sure, George Zimmerman, I'll be your new girlfriend!" What the … what? — Ron Marz (@ronmarz) November 18, 2013
Atta boy, George Zimmerman. Remember, if you hit someone, do it with a gun. The NRA won't give a shit otherwise.

BATKID FOREVER
Couldn't you just see the adorable Batkid on the silver screen? Imagine him in a tux walking down the red carpet at his own film premiere? It'd be cuteness on an epic level. ScreenCrush tweeted a mock poster for Batkid's big movie debut and it looks awesome!
Because #batkid deserved his own movie poster, we went out and made one: http://t.co/jLpHOmYFEG @MakeAWish pic.twitter.com/hi7f1rRlZ8
