Because You Needed More Nightmares, Lucius III is Coming to Steam at the End of 2018

Indie dev studio Shiver games is continuing the creepy saga of tiny murderous child Lucius in Lucius III which will hit Steam at the end of the year. This is a direct sequel to Lucius and Lucius II, so if you haven't played those, you might want to pick them up and give 'em a shot before snagging the latest game in the series. Otherwise, you're showing up more than halfway through our titular anti-christ's saga.

Yes, you read that right. Lucius is a little boy born on June 6th, 1966 to the loving couple of the devil himself and a human woman. In the third installment of the series, Lucius returns to his childhood stomping grounds in Winter Hill. After escaping the burned out remains of his childhood home in Lucius II, our evil protagonist is taken to the psychiatric ward in St. Benedict's Hospital. As you might have guessed, things do not go well in the psych ward.

According to the game's official description (via Dualshockers), Shiver Games is tauting Lucius III as a "whole new narrative experience," with the following features:

  • Experience an In-depth and carefully crafted story, which takes the player through a wide range of emotional experiences.
  • Feel the full experience of playing the villain protagonist.
  • Experience the atmospheric and detailed environments.
  • Use powerful magical abilities to help your cause.
  • Explore the seamless little town of Winter Hill.
  • Over 20 tracks of original music that compliments to the atmosphere of the game.

Lucius III will release at the end of the year on Steam for PC. You can check out the announcement trailer below.
