Beekeeping Sim APICO Will Release On Nintendo Switch This July

Whitehorn Games announced this morning that their cozy beekeeping simulator APICO will be getting released on Nintendo Switch in July. The TNgineers developed game was originally released back in May for PC via Steam and has gotten tons of praise for giving players an interesting sim that is both fun, easygoing, and educational all at the same time. Now you'll get a chance to explore those same fun learning adventures on the Switch. As far as we can tell, and there should be no reason otherwise, it looks like this will be the current version of the game with all updates released so far included. But since the game isn't even a month old, there's very little to update. You can check out how the Nintendo Switch version of the game will look in the brand new trailer down below, as the game is currently set to be released on July 7th, 2022.

APICO is a laid-back beekeeping sim game about breeding, collecting, & conserving bees! Leave your boring city job behind to return to your family home in Port APICO and get back to your beekeeping roots. Set in a series of lush environments, APICO uniquely combines resource gathering, biology, and beekeeping minigames, taking ideas from a mix of real-life and fantasy apiculture & floriculture. On your journey you'll rediscover lost species, cross-breed new bees, and help repopulate the islands.

  • Unique crafting & beekeeping minigames that drive gameplay progression.
  • Cross-breed different bees to discover over 30 new species.
