Bleeding Cool Game Awards 2017: Best Character in a Video Game
For Bleeding Cool's Best Character in a Video Game award, our esteemed judges were tasked with ranking the top characters features in a video game in the entirety of 2017.
The nominees are:
- Senua – Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice
- BJ Blazowicz – Wolfenstein II
- Moira – Overwatch
- Scott Ragowski – HQ Trivia
- Vetra Nyx – Mass Effect: Andromeda
- Aloy – Horizon: Zero Dawn
The judges scores are:
Games | Madeline's Score | Patrick's Score | Gavin's Score | Total |
Senua | 2 | 6 | 4 | 12 |
BJ Blazowicz | 6 | 5 | 6 | 17 |
Moira | 5 | 4 | 5 | 14 |
Scott Rogowski | 4 | 1 | 2 | 7 |
Vetra | 1 | 2 | 3 | 6 |
Aloy | 3 | 3 | 1 | 7 |
Figuring out which video game character was the best of the year was a bit of a hard task, but our judges managed it pretty well. Senua, BJ Blazowicz, and Moira were pretty much shot dead in the air. And then you have our winner and two runners-up. Vetra Nyx was the best part of Mass Effect: Andromeda hands down. The female turian very quickly ended up as your gal friday, unless you somehow managed to play Andromeda the completely wrong way. And say what you want about Andromeda's facial animations, Bioware makes a damn good character, and Vetra was absolutely perfect. Coming in second we have a tie between HQ Trivia host Scott Ragowski and Horizon: Zero Dawn's protagonist Aloy.
Guerrilla Games wanted Aloy to be a Playstation Icon, and I'm pretty sure they've managed to do it, meanwhile, in the zany world of HQ Trivia you either love Scott Ragowski or you don't play HQ Trivia.
