Dragon Ball Super 2023 Anniversary Box: 20x Kaio-ken

Our spotlight on the Dragon Ball Super Card Game Premium 2023 Anniversary Box concludes with two more special Kamehameha cards.

Every year, Bandai celebrates the Dragon Ball Super Card Game with a special anniversary set. The Dragon Ball Super Card Game Premium Anniversary Box 2023 is the only way to get this product. It includes a Premium Z-Xard set including 20 cards, a Premium Battle Card set including 72 cards, an SCR set including two SCRs that could either be holo or foil stamped reprints or "a low-inclusion rate of new SCRs with different illustrations," a Reprint Set including ten cards, card sleeves with one of four possible options, and a gold stamped storage box. Previous versions of this product have included multiple different choices in box art, while this one just has one featuring Dragon Ball GT's Son Goku delivering his ultimate Spirit Bomb. Today, let's take a look at the final card spotlights from Dragon Ball Super Card Game Premium Anniversary Box 2023.

Here, we have two more horizontal cards. Like yesterday's First Kamehameha and 10x Kamehameha, these cards showcase iconic attacks used during important times in Dragon Ball history. The 20x Kaio-ken Kamehameha, officially named in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, was initially seen in the battle against Frieza. This incredible blast only causes slight damage against Frieza, which makes Goku have to resort to his Spirit Bomb… which unfortunately also failed, leading to Frieza's survival, Krillin's death, and, on the bright side, Goku's ascension to Super Saiyan. The Limit Ultra Kamehameha is introduced in the Dragon Ball Super: Broly film, which sees Gogeta upgrade the Transcendent God Kamehameha by going Super Saiyan Blue.
