Final Fantasy XV: Episode Ignis Will Feature A Famous Composer
Square Enix made an slightly bizarre announcement today about the upcoming Episode Ignis DLC that is scheduled to release soon for Final Fantasy XV. While Episode Ignis is the last of the major companion DLCs for FFXV, it joins the lineup of major FFXV DLCs which were all scored by "legendary" composers.
This trend started with Episode Gladiolus which was scored by Nier Automata's Keiichi Okabe, Episode Prompto carried the signature of Final Fantasy XI's Naoshi Mizuta, and the upcoming Comrades multiplayer expansion was scored by Nobuo Uematsu who has scored part of pretty much every major game in the Final Fantasy franchise.
At the moment, no further hints have been dropped on the possible identity of the mysterious composer, so looks like we'll have to wait for further info down the line, quite possibly at Paris Games Week.
Speaking of DLC, the Comrades expansion has been delayed to early November. A few weeks ago, we also learned that the main Final Fantasy XV game will keep receiving new content next year, past the original plan to end in 2017.
Episode Ignis is scheduled to come out this December.
Final Fantasy XV is currently available for PS4 and Xbox One, and will release for PC in early 2018. The Episode Ignis trailer is below.
