Less Than 3 Days Left To Fund Sci-Fi RPG Kova
Kickstarter backers have less than 3 days to fully fund the Kova campaign so that they can join Kova in her quest to unravel the Fermi Paradox and find out why there hasn't been a sign of intelligent life – while navigating different faction politics. All backers at $5 or more will receive an alpha demo as the Kickstarter ends.
The game describes itself like this, "Kova is a metroidvania RPG set in a distant, technologically-advanced future when human-kind has colonized planets across galaxies. You play as Kova Rimor, a space mercenary who accidentally finds a foreign beacon, sending her on a quest to solve the most perplexing question of all: 'Why have humans been alone in the Universe?'" And that'll tell you all the basics.
The Metroid influence in the game is pretty obvious just from the character art,but I doubt Kova wears a bikini under all that armor.
If successfully funded, Kova will be released on PC, Mac and Linux at the end of 2017, and PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch in 2018. Yeah, a Kickstarter game on the Switch, pretty awesome news.
If this sounds like your kind of game, you can back the Kickstarter campaign here. The game is less than halfway funded, but if not successful, the game won't launch. And I feel confident in saying that it absolutely deserves to be made. I've been able to get my hands on a demo for Kova and absolutely find it enjoyable. It's a cute indie side-scroller with a deep story.
But don't take my word for it, you can check out the game's highlight trailer is below. You can check out the Isolation trailer here.
