Microsoft Apparently Has A Shortage Of Xbox One X Consoles
According to Dual Shockers this morning, Microsoft is working to create a bigger supply of Xbox One X consoles in time for launch, as it appears the demand may be greater than their current supply they have prior to launch. They chatted with Xbox Games' Marketing General Manager, Aaron Greenberg, about what's happening at the moment with their product.
Greenberg mentioned that pre-orders continue to be "really strong" and are "selling out at an incredibly fast pace." In many markets, including France (the interview was conducted at Paris Games Week), the expectation is that the console will be completely sold out before launch. While Microsoft is trying to get as many units manufactured for the Holiday season as they can, Greenberg advises those who would like to get an Xbox One X for the Holidays to pre-order, as the company expects "demand to be greater than supply."
Kinda interesting news to come from the company, as the initial reaction from fans after the announcement back at E3 was along the lines of "why would I buy a second Xbox?" Now it appears that the pre-order status shows that perspectives changed over the last few months and have made the new console a must-have item, most likely from Xbox One owners who are looking to upgrade. The November sales should be interesting to watch.
