Minecraft Releases The New Way of The Nether Update

Minecraft just received a new update today called "Way Of The Nether", which will send fans into areas that wouldn't normally explore. Well, at least not the sane players. The Nether is, for the uninitiated, a different dimension that players can visit that's filled with lava, rare minerals, and roaming gangs of enemies looking to kill you. It's basically Minecraft's version of Hell without calling it Hell. You can read a little bit more about it below along with screenshots and the trailer. The Nether Update brings the heat to an already fiery dimension with new biomes, mobs, and blocks. Discover Netherite, a powerful new material that makes Diamond look like cobblestone. Beware the Piglins as you either trade blows or strike a deal. Avoid the hideous Hoglins, or hunt them for a snouty snack. Explore the Nether Wastes, search the Soulsand Valleys, traverse the Basalt Deltas, or venture into the Crimson and Warped Forests. But don't forget to craft a respawn anchor. You know, just in case. It's not like you're going to get knocked into lava, or have a heated argument when bartering with a Piglin. Not at aaall… *breaks into evil, maniacal laughter*

To celebrate the launch of the Nether Update, we're also releasing a free Nether-themed adventure called "Way of the Nether" on our Bedrock-powered platforms. A dimensional rift has appeared in Poppy Isle and the mayor has gone missing. It falls on you to venture into the Nether, figure out what happened, and save the mayor! To get it, simply visit Minecraft Marketplace, find "Way of the Nether", and click "Get this item". Access to the free map requires the latest version of Minecraft Bedrock platform base-game with access to Minecraft Marketplace.
