Now You Can Take Your Creativity to the Real World with Minecraft Earth
If you've ever played Pokémon Go and thought the AR concept would be awesome if applied to Minecraft, well. Now is your time. Minecraft Earth has been revealed by Mojang and Microsoft.
Minecraft Earth is an AR game that lets you build new Minecraft creations in the real world, collect bricks by exploring your neighborhood, collaborate with other players to share and improve your creations, and survive the usual Minecraft threats.
The game features both old and new mobs of enemies and animal AI which you can use to populate your various creations. Players can use any flat surface they find in the world to build on, so you can modify existing real-world structures or create entirely new ones as long as you've got something flat to build on.
Using Build Plates, players can team up to create objects and then place them in the real world to explore at life-size. They can even leave them hanging around for other players to interact with.
Minecraft Earth will launch on both Android and iOS devices as a free-to-play download. Microtransactions for the game have not been announced yet, but Microsoft and Mojang have specified that Minecraft Earth will not have loot boxes.
