Overwatch's Next Halloween Event Date Leaked On Reddit
A user on Reddit has leaked out some information that could point to the official launch date of Overwatch's next Halloween themed event. A couple of images have been posted at this link revealing a $20 gift card for Xbox One and a package with the date "10/9/17" on the top, suggesting that the event will officially kick off on October 10th (with the assumption that items arrive the day before they happen).
Blizzard hasn't mentioned much about the event yet, even though fans were pretty much expecting it to return after the Summer Games promotion made its comeback a couple months ago.
The last Halloween event was a major success for the developers, as they created a special zombie-like mode for the game featuring several characters as horror villains they needed to defeat in a short amount of time on the Eichenwalde map. Not to mention all of the costumes that really took off and brought in Blizzard a ton of revenue during that period — people were buying Loot Boxes left and right to get their favorites.
We're guessing like the Summer Games version, old costumes will be made available at half-price the in-game credits while new ones will be their standard price. Looks like we're less than two weeks away from finding out.
